Meet Your Teacher
My name is Ms. Katie Markel. This marks my fifth year teaching. I graduated with my Bachelors in Elementary Education from UW-Whitewater in 2012. After I graduated, I moved to Dubuque, IA. I had taught kindergarten-first grade special education in Dubuque, IA for two years, Kindergarten, and Special Education here in Orangeville now for two years.
I was born and raised in Orangeville, so I am excited to be back! This will be my 3rd year back here in Orangeville. I also coach Bronco volleyball! Bring on the purple and gold.
What do I like to do….When I am not planning lessons and looking for classroom ideas on Pinterest, I like to do many things. I love to spend time with my wonderful family and Mike.
I like to spend a lot of time outside, walking/running, reading, swimming, hiking, riding the Harley, traveling and playing fetch with my black lab, Tucker.
I like to play golf, volleyball, and softball. I am not a pro, but I sure do like to play in a good game. I am a big fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Blackhawks!!
